County Limerick-based company Samco Agricultural Manufacturing has been appointed as a Case IH dealer to sell the full range of tractors, harvesting equipment and telehandlers. Effective from January 1, 2022, the new dealer will also supply parts and after-sales service.
Based in Adare, Samco is best known for manufacturing mulch film and associated application machinery for the arable and horticulture sectors, alongside selling a range of other agricultural machinery, such as the CTS bale trailer, disc harrows, silage forks and Field Lift subsoiler.
The family business was started in 1997 and is now run by father and sons, Sam, Robert and Matthew Shine. Employing over 50 staff and exporting to 25 countries, the business generates an annual turnover of around €12m.

“Our family has used Case IH machinery for many years and it’s a well-respected brand in this area that will complement our existing product range,” says Sam Shine. “We started business as dairy farmers, and then agricultural contractors before moving into machinery and work hard to use this experience to provide the best solutions for our customers in an ever-changing industry.”
Samco plans to open a second depot in Tralee, County Kerry early next year. “The opening of an additional depot will enable us to service an even greater area of customers and we are very much looking forward to taking delivery of our first Case IH machines in the New Year.”
Jon May, Case IH dealer relationship manager for the UK and Ireland says the new dealer covers an area that was previously open for the brand. “We look forward to working with Samco to strengthen our sales of our products in this part of the country in the future.”
