New Holland has announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Maschio Gaspardo. The Italian machinery maker will produce two disc harrow and subsoiler ranges which will be marketed as New Holland implements.
The SDM and SDH short disc harrows along with he SUM and SUH subsoilers will be available through the New Holland dealer network next year. New Holland has been expanding its arable and grassland implement ranges since CNH Industrial bought Kongskilde in October 2016. But there have been some large gaps in the former Kongskilde product range after lack of investment by the previous owner.
“We are very pleased with our new partnership with Maschio Gaspardo,” says Carlo Lambro, New Holland Agricultures brand president. “At New Holland, we are constantly looking at improving and extending our offering to provide our customers around the world with innovative and complete solutions to their farming needs. In Maschio Gaspardo we have a partner with a long-standing experience and a leader in its field, so that with this agreement, we are bringing their first-rate products to our customers, further widening the choice of implements to meet their tillage requirements with high-quality equipment.”
Mirco Maschio, president of the Maschio Gaspardo Group, adds: “Maschio Gaspardo already has a consolidated OEM supply partnership with New Holland. We are proud of this new prestigious project as it also confirms the high-quality standards achieved by Maschio Gaspardo for its products and the offered customer service. It is another important building block for our growth.”
Interestingly before it bought Kongskilde it was strongly rumoured that CNH Industrial was looking to purchase Maschio Gaspardo.
The Maschio disc harrows are sold in Ireland where the TAMS grant has created a market for these cultivators to be used to establish cover crops and in some parts reseed grassland. Across the water in Great Britain neither the disc harrow range or the subsoilers are imported by Opico. The soil loosener is very much a southern Europe design which has limited its interest.
The new products will first be launched in key European markets in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Spain and the UK. New Holland will present the new implements in detail later in the year.
