New Holland used the Dutch AgroTechniek Holland (ATH) farm machinery show to preview a model from the revamped range of T5 Dual Command tractors.
As far as we are aware, there are no changes to the engine and transmission, and the model numbers are identical, but the exterior styling differs, courtesy of the restyled engine hood and new decals.
The tractor at ATH, a T5.100 Dual Command, is built at the CNH plant in Jesi (Italy). Technically similar to the recently launched Case IH Farmall C and Steyr Plus, the updated T5 Dual Command is now able to run on larger R38 tyres (previous largest was R34). Rear lift capacity is 4.7t (+7.0%), and hydraulic flow has been increased by a third to 82l/min.
Main changes inside the cab include the newly designed steering column and digital display. Brake-to-neutral is standard. New on the options list is a mechanically suspended cab and customers can choose from two front axles (standard or heavy duty for loader work).
We understand that a model from the new five-model (80-117hp) range will be on the New Holland stand at the Italian EIMA show in November, and that the first tractors will be in the UK early next year.
