A 4.9-litre four-pot engine powers the smallest model, while the 522 and 526 are equipped with a 7.4-litre six-cylinder block. Both AGCO Power engines meet Stage V emission regs.

Main features include the new electro-hydrostatic drive. This provides field (full engine speed available depending on demand) and road (lowers engine speed to save fuel) modes.

The cab (revised version previously fitted to the 5225E) comes with a new armrest mounted joystick and new work lights. The concave and sieves are now controlled directly from the cab.

Available for all models, the PowerFlow and FreeFlow headers offer working widths of up to 7.60m and the Multi Crop Separator plus threshing system (from the L-series models) is optional. The cleaning area is 4.7m2. Electrically adjustable high-performance sieves are also available.

The standard 5,200l grain tank on the 518 and 522 unloads at 72l/sec. The larger 6,500l grain tank (standard 526/525 MCS and optional 522/522 MCS) unloads at 85l/sec.

Front tyre options include 620/75 R30, 650/75 R32, 710/75 R32 and 800/65 R32 sizes (400/70 R20 or 460/70 R24 tyres).  4wd is also available.
