The four-row Miedema Structural 4000 is now available with Smart-Float automatic depth control. Previously only available on the CP42 cup planter, the compact system allows the tractor to pull much lower, which helps to distribute the planter’s weight evenly across the four tyres.
Soil cultivation movements do not affect the position of the planter, says the company, and the intermediate piece, the lifting pack, allows the working angle to be adjusted as desired. Said to be easy to adjust, cultivation depth can be controlled automatically from the cab.
In addition, planting depth can be adjusted via the wheels and the height of the ridging hood. It is possible to swap the rotary cultivator for a rotary harrow. When not needed, these can both be lifted out of work.
The Structural 4000 is now also available with portal steering with an integrated box tipper (momentarily only homologated in the Netherlands) and the standard bunker. The pivoting axles and shorter wheelbase allow the planter to turn 35 degrees instead of the usual 8 degrees, making it more manoeuvrable.
