Alo UK and its Quicke tractor loader and implement brand are now aligned under the new business area Jost Agriculture & Construction, with operations rebranded as Jost GB.

It is four years since Alo was acquired by German company Jost, and UK sales manager James Pickering describes this next step as a big one for Quicke in the UK, and one that will allow it to elevate product quality, service and support for its UK customers and end users to the next level.

“As a team we share an immense pride in being associated with the Quicke brand, its rich UK heritage and our current offering of market-leading products,” he comments. “The relocation of our administrative, parts and technical support operations to the Jost GB facility near Manchester, gives us the opportunity to improve our service levels in all respects, react faster to our customers’ requirements and ultimately strengthen our market share position.”

Founded in 1949, Alo has its roots in Sweden. With around 600 staff and a global market share of 30%, it has a global presence through its production facilities in France, China, the USA, India, and Brazil, alongside sales offices in key markets, including the UK.

Alo’s acquisition aligns perfectly with our commitment to quality and innovation, says Jost CEO Joachim Dürr. “We have invested heavily in our facilities, expanded into new markets like Brazil, and opened a state-of-the-art factory in Chennai, India,” he comments. “Alo and Quicke have provided a solid foundation for our agricultural segment. Together, we will continue driving innovation and achieving new milestones.”
