Lancashire-based Metcalf’s Ag Engineers and Adcock Agri from Essex have taken on the Krone franchise.
Located near Preston, Metcalf’s had been Lely dealers up until the AGCO takeover so were on the lookout for a new grass machinery range to sell alongside its Case IH franchise.
“The Krone brand is already well established in the North West,” says managing director Raymond Metcalf. “This opportunity represents a new chapter for our family business, and to improve our service we have appointed well respected local contractor John Forrest (Fez) to boost our existing sales team.”
Adcock Agri operates from Redhills Industrial Estate, Chelmsford and also represents McCormick, Dieci, Bomford and Alpego.
“We are very pleased to be covering Essex as Krone’s new dealer. The brand fits well within our existing franchise portfolio,” explains Tim Adcock. “The Krone brand is well established in our area, but there is a great opportunity to build market share with new and our existing customers.”
