The latest mounted Hardi Mega sprayer is getting a new boom to replace the VHZ and the VPZ. Called the Pro Force, this is a 15 to 28m vertical fold boom which is mounted on a revamped pendulum-suspended central frame.

There will be the option of hydraulic anti-yaw dampers for swifter headland turns. There is also a single side fold function. Other options include the PWA PulseSystem, PrimeFlow and AutoNozzleSelect.

Automatic boom tilting systems also appear on the spec sheet of the up to 2,200-litre sprayer. Other changes include the adoption of the trailed Aeon styling as well as the SmartCon electronic platform which is ISObus compatible.

Speaking of the trailed Aeon, additional 6,000- and 7,000l models will be joining the range at Agritechnica, where Hardi will also be showing the GeoSelect drone spotting technology which it has been developing in Australia.

Rather than mount sensors on the sprayer, the system uses detection technology from drones, manned aircraft and satellites to provide real-time guidance when spraying. Chemical application can be trimmed by up to 90% and is said to achieve an accuracy rate of up to 99.7% when targeting weeds.
