The Stage V versions of JCB’s mid-range wheeled loaders come with more power and a package of performance enhancing upgrades and increased operator comfort.
The grunt in the three Agri models; the 411, 413S and 417, comes from the latest 4.8-litre four-pot DieselMAX, with Autostop automatically shutting down the engine after a pre-set period of idling.
Meeting emissions regs with a single unit DPF/SCR solution, the 417 has a 4.0% increase in maximum power at 130hp (97kW), while the 413S gets a 5.0% increase at 150hp (122kW) and 7.0% more torque at 600Nm. Peak power and torque figures for the 411 are unchanged at 109hp (81kW).
In a previous upgrade, these mid-range loaders benefited from new features first seen on the 435S Agri, the flagship model in the range. Now, several of the enhancements introduced with Stage V versions of those machines have filtered down the range.
These include rubber cushion-damped steering and rubber cushioning pads on the front face of the rear chassis near the heavy-duty articulation joint to soften the contact when steering to full lock in either direction.
They also come with a rear-view camera and dedicated in-cab display as standard. Options include a reversible fan for the cooling package and more generously padded seat options.
Operating weights of the three Agri models are 8.7t (411), 9.4t (417) and 8.95t (413S). The gearbox in the 411 and 417 is a four-speed powershift (six-speed in the 413S).
