The dimensions and lift power of the new 645i (1.62t) and 650i (1.63t) compact loaders from Avant Tecno are similar to the existing 600 series machines. The main update is the additional power and torque provided by the 44hp four-pot Kubota Stage V engine.
Sitting above the existing three-cylinder 26hp Kubota powered 630, 635 and 640, all of which continue to be available, the engine in the two newcomers is the same one used in the 700 series. What the Finnish manufacturer has done is pack it into the frame of the two new 600 series models, which are heralded as the most powerful and compact loaders in their size class.
Emissions are taken care of by an oxidation catalyst and particulate filter – no AdBlue. The hydrostatic transmission with a hydraulic drive motor on each wheel will be familiar to Avant operators. The 645i is equipped with single- speed motors (max. speed 13km/hr), while the two-speed motors on the 650i propel it to a top speed of 25km/hr.
The standard models come with a ROPS/FOPS structure. Cab options include the new GT, a more spacious version that has large windows and can be equipped with air conditioning, Bluetooth radio and air suspended seat.
Much of the rest of the spec, such as articulated steering, is the same as other 600 series models. So too is the telescopic boom (maximum lift height 2.84m) and hydraulic boom self-levelling system.
Maximum oil flow of the auxiliary hydraulics is 75lit/min, and the two loaders can run almost all of the company’s 200+ attachments. Like the rest of the 600 series, the 645i and 650i come with a quick attachment plate. Hydraulic locking of attachment pins is also available.
Production of the new loaders will start this autumn.
