The recent snowfall provided Dutch manufacturer Agrifac with an ideal opportunity to demonstrate the accuracy of its spot spraying technology.
Measuring 132m x 200m, this striking version of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa was created by a Condor. Believed to be one of the largest ‘paintings’ ever, it was formed with the help of a task map, GPS, fast-switching (on and off 100 times a second) nozzles spaced at 25cm intervals and an environmentally friendly dye.

The Dutch firm reckons to have equipped hundreds of self-propelled sprayers with the technology since 2016.

‘If we can do this, can you imagine what we can do with spot spraying to reduce the amount of chemicals used in the world,’ says Agrifac.
