Following successful trials across Europe, Michelin’s ZenTerra tractor tyre pressure adjustment system is now available in the UK.
Previewed at the 2017 Agritechnica, and designed specifically for use in combination with a central tyre inflation system, the technique allows operators to quickly adjust the pressures of high-powered Ultraflex (includes AxioBib, AxioBib 2, EvoBib and XeoBib) tractor tyres.
Connecting directly into the tractor’s ISObus system and operated via an in-cab touch-screen display, pre-programmed settings allow users to tailor pressures depending on the implement attached and vehicle usage.
Pressures can be adjusted for empty, half or full loads, as well as working on slopes. A boost function sets extreme low pressure for three minutes, when extra grip is needed.
Described as the complete tyre pressure solution, claimed benefits of the technology include additional traction, improved productivity, yields, safety and road-handling, extended tyre life, lower fuel costs and increased soil protection.
Compatible with most modern tractors, ZenTerra will be fitted exclusively in the UK by TractAir.
