The Italian telehandler maker reckons to have been the first to market the concept of a tractor with telescopic boom and Agritechnica will see the commercial introduction of the latest models; the Multifarmer 34.7 and 34.9.
The telescopic boom on both models has a 3.4t capacity, and maximum working heights are 7.0m and 9.0m respectively. Both models are equipped with the firm’s Dynamic Load Control anti-tipping system.
Other features include a high visibility (4.3m² of glass) suspended cab, which says Merlo, provides 1.0m of useful internal width. At the rear, there is an electronically-controlled two-speed (540/1000) pto. The Cat II linkage has a lift capacity of 3.0t.
The 136hp four-cyl 3.6-litre Deutz Stage IV motor in the two newcomers is mated to a 40km/hr hydrostatic transmission.
