Designed for pulling behind the most powerful tractors on the market, Bednar’s  XE-Mega short disc cultivator is available in working widths of 16.4m (XE16400 Mega) and 18.4m (XE18400 Mega).

The new models are structurally based on the existing models in the range. The main difference is the tandem transport axle (710/50 R26.5 tyres) to support the 18.7t (16.4m) and 21t (18.4m) machines on the road.

Working to depths from 2-14cm, the disc sections are mounted on folding side frames, and the 5mm-thick discs are available with a diameter of 520mm and 560mm. On the headland, the machine turns on the rear rollers, and front support and transport wheels.

Tractor power requirement is from 550-620hp for the 16.4m version and 580-620hp for the 18.4m model, which with a claimed output of up to 230ha/day is suitable for CTF systems. Both fold to a width of 3.0m and height of 4.0m. Transport length of the 16.4m model is 8.5m (18.4m/12.0m).
