The latest five-model range of 2200 balers models inherit much of their technology from the Ultra HD model. This includes the new running gear, higher capacity pick-up and stronger components.
The plunger runs on new, sealed bearings, which are 11% larger than those used previously, and redesigned wrapper bands in the pre-compression chamber are claimed to improve feeding and increase reliability.
The new bale chute combines a single, side-mounted lift ram and heavy-duty straps. Lighter than chains, these help to reduce noise and eliminates the risk of damage to the paintwork. Raising and lowering can be controlled via the operator terminal and a spring-loaded catch holds it in position during transport.

Other updates include electronic bale length setting, and the new suspended tandem axle keeps the transport width to below 3.0m on 620/50-22.5 tyres, and the new models are said to be easier to operate using the new BaleCreate terminal display, which allows operators to set-up and monitor important functions via three, selectable work screens.
There is also a new model numbering system now matches the existing bale sizes (in imperial measurements), and all models are compliant with the latest Tractor Implement Management system. This monitors baler performance and target settings and then automatically speeds up or slows down the tractor to achieve the best results.
