Massey Ferguson has increased the power of its mid-range 7700 S Series to include the 7719 S, a new 190hp flagship.
One of three new models, (other two are the 165hp 7716 S and 180hp 7718 S), all are powered by a six-pot 6.6-litre Stage V AGCO Power block. Generating 5hp more than the previous engine, when combined with Engine Power Management, the new block provides a 20hp boost on the 7716 S and 7718 S, and 30hp on the 7719 S.
The new engine employs an integrated DOC and SCR. The new bit is the addition of a soot catalyst to meet Stage V engine emissions regulations. No external changes are visible and the exhaust is actually slimmer than its predecessor.
The transmission in the 7719 S is the firm’s Dyna-VT (optional on the 7716 S and 7718 S). The two smaller models are also available with the Dyna-6 semi-powershift, which will be available from June with a super eco facility. This fuel-saving box reaches 40km/hr at 1500rpm and 50 km/hr at 1800rpm.
Standard equipment on Exclusive specification 7700 S models includes the Datatronic 5 touch screen terminal (option on Efficient versions), and all three tractors can be specified with up to 1.95m diameter, 20.8 R42 tyres.
