Maschio Gaspardo has increased the range of equipment it offers in the UK.

The new additions include Primo fertiliser spreaders, Gigante no-till direct-drills, Terremoto cultivators and Toro power-harrows equipped with ISObus.

Primo twin-disc fertiliser spreaders use twin shutters – one sets flow rate while the other shuts off the flow of fertiliser at the headlands. They work independently of the rate control sliders, so flow can be shut off quickly at headlands to avoiding overlapping with the headland bout.

Maschio Gaspardo has increased the range of equipment it offers in the UK.

The Gigante is a disc-coultered, no-till seeder available in working widths of up to 6m. Row spacing is either 150mm or 180mm. Twin hoppers can be used to supply both seed and fertiliser to the coulters, which employ disc openers ahead of tapered coulter-boots. Rubber or steel gauge wheels maintain an even seeding depth and angled closing wheels help ensure good seed-to-soil contact.

The Terremoto high-speed stubble cultivator is available in working width from 3m to 5m. Three rows of ripper tines can be fitted with a range of points and pitch can be altered. Both shearbolt and coil-spring overload protection versions are available. A row of scalloped discs follow the tines which help with levelling and incorporating crop residue ahead of the rear packer roller.

The Terremoto is a versatile tillage tool that can be used to break up compacted, panned stubbles, generate a stale seedbed or produce a tilth ahead of the drill.

Finally, Toro power-harrows can now be fitted with ISObus controls. This handles gearbox oil temperature, clutch slippage, rotor speed, power consumption and hours and area worked.

Although new to the UK, these high specification implements have been available throughout the rest of Europe for a number of years and are said to have been well proven.
