Thurlow Nunn Standen is the new dealer for Manitou UK in East Anglia. Effective from January 1, 2021, the appointment follows the decision by Ben Burgess not to renew its dealership agreement with Manitou when it expires at the end of this year.
Thurlow Nunn Standen (TNS) will handle the full range of Manitou agricultural, industrial and construction products across its entire trading area.
The addition of the Manitou brand is one we are clearly excited about, explained managing director James Thurlow of TNS. “It demonstrates the company’s desire to offer a full line product portfolio, which is strategically aligned to our customers developing business needs.”
TNS plans to appoint a Manitou product specialist before the end of this year to develop and grow the market share across the three sectors. “Although the appointment does not take effect until 2021, Manitou and TNS are now working together to train employees across sales, service and parts departments, ensuring machine and spare parts knowledge is in place ready for the new year,” says TNS after sales director Adrian Brown.
Ben Burgess, which has been a Manitou UK dealer since 2007, will promote Kramer telehandlers as from January 1, 2021. “We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Ben Burgess but understand their decision to work with Kramer in future due to its connection with John Deere,” comments managing director Mark Ormond of Manitou UK.
“We will continue to work as normal for the remainder of 2020, and work together with Manitou from January 1, 2021, to ensure a smooth transition to the new dealer,” says managing director Ben Turner of Ben Burgess.
Mark and Ben would like to assure customers that Ben Burgess and Manitou part on amicable terms and that the joint priority is to continue supporting our loyal customers, now and into the future.
