Quite possibly one of the smallest telehandlers ever made, Manitou’s MT 420 H Buggy stands just 1.9m tall, is 1.49m wide and has a length of just 3.67m. Shown in preview form at last week’s BAUMA construction show in Munich, Germany, the compact design does not affect its performance because the 420 can hoist 2t to a maximum height of just over 4m. The cab comes directly from the MLT 625 (6m/2.5t|), the 49hp engine is sourced from Kubota, and the hydrostatically-driven machine provides both 4wd and 4ws. The commercial launch is planned for sometime early next year. B
