Lemken has never made a secret of desires to add a self-propelled sprayer to the portfolio, either through an acquisition or an in-house development. News from mainland Europe confirms the company has opted for the in-house route, albeit it with a bit of outside assistance.
The only official comment from Lemken is that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Bräutigam, which already makes self-propelled drive units and sprayers. Bräutigam will develop the chassis and cab, and the sprayer will be built at Lemken’s new German facility at Haren.
