This year’s Cereals event will be the first opportunity in the UK to see some of the Horsch machines previewed at Agritechnica. This includes the latest Serto 12 SC and Pronto 6 NT drills and new Cruiser 6 XL and Terrano GX cultivators.

Available in 6.0m, 8.0m and 9.0m working widths, and designed for mulch and direct seeding at speeds up to 20km/hr, the Pronto NT features the TurboDisc double-disc coulter at 20cm row spacing in combination with a compact leading wavy disc. These cut through organic material and cultivate the soil only in the seed rows, which helps to reduce tractor power requirement. In very hard conditions, up to 1.4t of additional weight can be added to the frame.

Available in working widths of 10.0m and 12.0m, the Serto SC, a compact seed drill for large farms, features an all-over tyre packer, which is claimed to the lower horsepower requirement and save fuel, combined with a heavy double-disc seed coulter. Two seed coulters run behind every tyre with a row spacing of 16.6cm.

The 5.0m and 6.0m Cruiser XL trailed cultivators fill the gap between the linkage mounted models and the 10.0m and 12.0m trailed versions. Designed to mix and distribute material, the 700mm frame height ensures it can work in soils with a lot of surface trash. Four different cultivation points are available, and the Cruiser can be fitted with a wide range of single and double packers.

Available in 4.0 to 6.0m working widths the Terrano GX, a new model in the family, features three- or four-bar version with a tine spacing between 28.5cm and 31.5cm. Equipped with the third generation TerraGrip, with its spring located in the frame and a 550kg release force, like to latest Cruisers the GX can be equipped with four cultivation point options and a wide range of single and double packers.
