With a diameter of 2.14m, the VF TractorMaster 900/60 R42 weighs 450kg and has a load index of 189 (10.3t). It is the largest Continental tractor tyre so far.
Developed specifically for 300hp+ tractors, the new size joins the five VF TractorMaster sizes released last year; 650/60 R34; 650/65 R42; 710/75 R42; 650/65 R34 and 710/60 R34.
VF technology allows the tyre to be driven with 40% more load at the same pressure as a standard tyre or 40% less pressure at the same load. “In addition, tyres with VF technology operate more fuel-efficiently than conventional tractor tyres” comments Benjamin Hübner, product line manager for ag tyres, who adds that it allows for a smooth transition from field to road without having to adjust the pressure.
