The new K110XESC trailed lime and fertiliser spreader from Danish manufacturer Bredal can accept tyres with a diameter of up to 2.0m.
Developed in response to increasing demand to fit larger tyres on bigger trailed machines to reduce ground pressure, the larger boots also reduce the rolling resistance and provide increased clearance.
The hopper holds 11m³ and the new model is 50cm longer than the K105/XE that is still in the range.
The new spreader, which can also be fitted with row crop tyres, is equipped with the Danish manufacturer’s foldable XE spread unit. This has a working width of up to 30m for lime and 48m for fertiliser. It also has section control, headland spreading on both sides, weigh cells and an ISObus connection to the tractor’s GPS system.
The K110XESC will be the firm’s main novelty at Agritechnica, although the UK has the lead with this one as Bredal importer KRM has already delivered the first K110XESC to a customer.
Other new fertiliser spreaders to look out for on the new and larger (537m²) Bredal stand (shared with sister company Bogballe) include precision versions of the trailed F10 (6-12m³) and mounted F4 (1.5-4m³) machines using ISObus computerised control and section control.
