German manufacturer BvL has developed a 25m3 capacity version of the V-Mix Drive Maximus Plus self-propelled mixer wagon.
Sitting above the current range-topping 21m3 model, the new twin auger flagship is powered by the same 224hp six-pot motor, and uses the familiar BvL loading head, which has tines instead of knives.
When loading at the silage clamp, the creep speed function enables the driver to set the maximum travel speed, allowing sensitive control of the accelerator pedal. Fine adjustment of the speed simplifies manoeuvring at the silage face.
The tub’s automatic mixing system is push-button activated, with settings for auger speed and mixing time. The augers automatically stop when finished and the engine rpm slows to a fuel-saving idle.
Available with capacities from 11-23m3 with one or two vertical augers, the V-Mix Drive Maximus Plus range is powered by a 128hp four-pot FPT motor or a six-cylinder 224hp block.
The new model will be unveiled at LAMMA in January, where there will be an opportunity to chat about the company’s updated V-Connect dairy feeder feed management system. Suitable for use with all BvL mixers, the latest version incorporates a number of new features.
