A joint venture for the production of Landini tractors in Turkey has been agreed by Argo Tractors of Italy and Anadolu Motor, the country’s Landini distributor.

The tractors will be made at Sekerpinar near Istanbul where more than €10 million is being invested in a new production plant. Expected to start building the first units early next year, the facility is forecast to make more than 6,000 tractors a year for Turkey and non-emissionised export markets outside Europe. Initially, the product range will include tractors from 50hp to 75hp but extending up to 110hp within a couple of years.

Anadolu Motor belongs to the multinational Anadolu Group, which has diverse industrial interests and operates in 19 countries with 80 companies, 61 production plants and more than 50,000 employees.
