Another new name to LAMMA, BeTec was showing off its range of slurry application kit, shear-grabs, clamp compactors and bale-unrollers.

The Slovenian company has a vast array of boom applicators including dribble-bars, trailing shoes and disc injectors that span 4.0m to 36m working widths and are fitted with its own in-house-built macerator/chopper units.

It also has a novel hybrid set-up that combines the benefits of an injector with those of a trailing shoe. Called the Hyber-Disc, it employs a plain disc to cut a slot ahead of a flexible outlet that runs just above the soil surface but skims under the grass sward. According to BeTec this design allows high application rates and matches the output of a conventional trailing shoe without the need for additional horsepower. Maintenance requirements are said to be minimal compared to a conventional disc injector and spring-pressured Hyber-Disc outlets can be retro-fitted to toolbars of all makes and widths. BeTec is on the lookout for UK dealers and was at LAMMA to gauge the reaction from potential customers
