JC Machinery is introducing the Vredo crop drill system for the Agri Twin and Agri Air Twin seeders, enabling them to drill directly into stubble.
A row spacing of 150mm is achieved by hydraulically raising every second coulter, so the 75mm spacing is still possible for grass establishment.
The double-disc coulters slit the soil for the seed placement. The distributor can be quickly switched from 20 to 10 outlets on the 5.8m unit.
Vredo has developed its own pneumatic seed hopper capable of working with fine to very large seeds. A large capacity fan and pipework allow for rates of up to 240kg/ha, while quick-detach turf guards permit deeper sowing.
