Rather than investing in a stand-alone direct drill and a stand-alone strip-till drill, Sumo UK is suggesting a modular alternative — a 1,200-litre front-mounted seed tank for the front of the tractor, paired at the rear with either a 4m DD direct drill toolbar or a 3m DTS strip-till toolbar, depending on the preferred seeding system for the prevailing conditions. Cost saving when going for the modular system (with the two toolbars), rather than going for two separate drills, is about £30,000.
