More strength and less weight are key points of the S-series power harrows which will replace the NG-S range.
The new harrow has a three layer construction which Kverneland says make it more heavy duty but yet the 3.0m model is 150kg lighter than the older model. There is a 45mm gap between the two lower layers with the bearings positioned closest to the top and bottom of the trough.
The harrows rated to 250hp, have quick fit tines with four rotors per metre. Working widths are 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5m. Folding models will be added in the future.
Kverneland is using loader Euro couplings to mount the coulter to the roller frame making it easier to remove the sowing unit and still leave the hopper in place.
Speaking of drills there is a new addition, the E-Drill Maxi Plus, a twin metering unit sower which can be used for seed and fertiliser or drilling a companion crop. A swing over divider in the 2,100 litre hopper allows it to be split 60:40, 70:30 or 100:0.
Like the long-standing I-Drill the metering units are positioned out to the sides so you don’t have to climb under the middle of the hopper when calibrating.
