Kverneland Group has announced plans to expand its French production facility at Les Landes-Genusson (Vendée region).

Driven by increased global demand for cultivators and mechanical hoes, this strategic investment will double production capacity for both Kubota and Kverneland implements, introduce larger machinery like the XL compact disc harrow, and support the growing need for mechanical weeding solutions.

The company acquired an additional 17,605m² of land in December 2024. Increasing the total factory area to 5.5ha, the building footprint will grow from 13,200m² to 20,000m².

The extra space will provide more room for the expanded welding, painting and assembly processes. Investments will be made in welding and painting robots, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) will streamline operations.

A larger R&D prototype workshop is also planned. This will grow in size from 645m² now to 1,000m². There will also new R&D offices. The logistics are also being upgraded to allow the plant to cope with the higher volumes. The expansion is forecast to be completed by mid-2026.
