Having recently announced the appointment of two new sales specialists and a parts and amenity sector specialist, Kuhn Farm Machinery has added four additional staff members to its UK team.Sam Green joins the firm as one of two new product specialists and will focus on the company’s sprayer, fertiliser spreader, shredder and electronics ranges. Sam, from a beef and arable farm in Cheshire, has a first-class honours degree in Agri-food Marketing with Business Studies from Harper Adams University and has previous experience of working with Kuhn having spent 12 months during his degree course working in the role of marketing assistant at Kuhn’s HQ and sprayer factories in France. Katie Calcutt comes from an Oxfordshire farming family and joins the Kuhn team as a graduate from Harper Adams University. She has been appointed as one of two new product specialists and will be working across the entire product range, but with a special remit to focus on grass harvesting machinery, baling and wrapping equipment, mixer wagons, straw choppers and hedgecutters. As part of her degree course in Agriculture with Mechanisation, Katie spent a year working as a prototype mechanic at Kuhn’s Audureau factory where straw choppers, mixer wagons and hedgecutters are designed and produced. James Hutchinson joins the company as one of two bedding, feeding and hedgecutter specialists. Originally from Wiltshire, James has more than 10 years of experience in a wide range of farming and agricultural machinery roles: he has worked on dairy, beef, arable and organic farms throughout the UK and USA, most recently working for Kemble Farms Ltd in Gloucestershire. James also has prior experience of working with agricultural machinery dealers, having held roles where he was responsible for the delivery and demonstration of a range of new machinery. He is also the current Wiltshire YFC county chairman. Blair Allan, a farmer’s son from West Dunbartonshire, is Kuhn’s second bedding, feeding and hedgecutter specialist for Scotland and Northern England. He joins the company from HRN Tractors at Blair Drummond, Stirling, where he was responsible for selling several leading agricultural machinery brands, and new and used tractors, plant and machinery to domestic and foreign markets on behalf of Agritrac Exports. Prior to that, Blair was an area salesman for James Gordon Ltd, and has also worked as assistant farm manager at a large farm in Saudi Arabia.
