Kubota has replaced the M8540 and M9960 models with two new M5001 Series tractors – the M5091 (95hp) and M5111 (113hp). Completing the renewal of the M Series, which started with the introduction of the 130-170hp M7001 Series, the two newcomers are powered by a four-cylinder common rail Kubota engine. The 16-valve 3.7lit block uses a combination of SCR, EGR, a DPF and DOC to meet Stage IV engine emissions. The 36fx36r transmission (top speed 40km/hr) provides six synchronised gears, with a dual speed High-Lo and an electro-hydraulic reverser. Rear lift capacity of both tractors is 4.1 tonnes, there are two PTO speeds 540 and 540 Eco. A retrofit ISOBUS system is available, and both tractors can also be fitted with the LA1854 loader, which is fitted with a quick coupling system for implements and hydraulic hoses. The loader also features a shock absorber system, which says Kubota, minimises sudden movements in the cab when working on rough terrain or driving on the road. The cab comes as standard with a roof window and sliding sun visor.
