Kubota UK has appointed C C Powell Ltd as its key agricultural dealer for north-east Scotland. The Aberdeenshire-based potato and vegetable equipment specialist will supply the complete range of Kubota agricultural solutions, including tractors and RTV utility vehicles. Serving Aberdeenshire, Morayshire, Ross-shire and the Highlands, C C Powell was established by Chris Powell in 2010 as the main dealer for Grimme, as well as supplying the Greencrop and Horstine brands. Mr Powell said the chance to join forces with Kubota presents his company with a massive opportunity to increase its agricultural offering and target new markets. “We are established in the root crop machinery market, so the addition of Kubota’s agricultural range will now allow us to diversify and knock on farm doors that we previously couldn’t,” he commented. The dealer plans to increase staff levels from the current 9 to 11 in the coming months to cater for this new partnership and is also looking at new premises for a dedicated Kubota showroom facility in due course. Kubota Agriculture business development manager Rob Edwards said Kubota’s investment and commitment to the agricultural market is gathering pace. “In order to drive our business forward, it is essential we have the right dealer partners in place,” he added. “Joining forces with Chris and his team not only gives us the ideal platform to target farmers in north-east Scotland, but also strengthens and expands our agricultural network across the UK.”
