Newly developed software for Krone’s Comprima bale wrapper combi provides automatic switching between two cameras. The second camera is automatically engaged when the bale chamber door is opened to allow the operator to follow the bale transfer mechanism and wrapping process.
Previously, operators were required to manually switch between the two cameras, while some others have installed an additional CCTV screen in the cab. Krone says auto-switching between the two cameras not only makes like easier for the operator, but also reduces in-cab clutter by eliminating the need for a second screen.
The new software, which is similar to that used on the Big X SPFH to automatically engage the rear-view camera when reversing, is available on all 2018 machines fitted with the CCI 1200 terminal.
