The EasyCut R450 is the new big mower from Krone in the R series. Measuring 4.47m wide it has a neat side-shifting counterweight to keep things balanced on the tractor’s linkage when in work.
The weight transfer systems can be loaded with up to 10 wafer plates, each weighing 50kg. When fully extended, the weight is offset by 60cm and is automatically moved in and out as the mower swings horizontally from its working to transport position.
On its own, Krone says the new addition can be operated with a 74kW/100hp tractor. It can also be partnered with one of its front mowers, including the 4.0m version, the EasyCut F400 Fold which we looked at in the 7/2023 issue of profi.
The rest of the mower is pretty much established Krone fair. The DuoGrip suspension and hydraulic bed pressure with the option of adjustment from the cab. The centre pivot eight disc, two drum bed has quick fit blades and the SafeCut protection system. LED lights are also included. A 540rpm drive is standard with the option of 1,000rpm. Without the added side ballast the mower weighs 1,250kg.
