Krone describes the GX 360 Plus as a compact universal trailer suitable for grain, silage and root crops.

It is three years since Krone launched the GX 440 and GX 520. Rounding off the lower end of the range, the GX 360 Plus, like the larger siblings, is based on the single-chassis concept and chain driven conveyor belt.

In launching the new model, Krone has split the GX range into two variants; Plus, and Pro. In the future this will differentiate between two different operating and control concepts. The GX 440 is offered as both Plus and Pro versions, while the flagship GX 520 is only available as a Pro.

Plus variants have simple electronics and hydraulics, while Pro models come standard with ExactUnload. This adjusts the unloading speed to the length of the clamp and the forward speed of the tractor. Pro models are also available with a wider choice of options. These include an EBS braking system, a radio remote control for unloading, hydraulically telescoping sides to reduce the drop height, a weighing device or electronic forced steering.

Hydraulic functions on GX Plus models can be operated using a preselect system and them executed via the tractor controls. There are two options – PreSelect DS 50 and Digital. DS 50, a new operating variant, will allow Plus models to be operated by non-ISObus tractors.

With PreSelect Digital, the hydraulic functions are viewed and preselected via the ISObus terminal. It is also possible to carry out the preselection using a control lever with freely assignable ISObus keys.

The tandem axle on the GX 360 Plus has a permissible axle load of 18t (optional 20t running gear available). Other options include mechanically forced steering, 30.5” tyres (standard 26.5″) and two rear discharge rollers for grass and maize silage.
