The number of new tractors registered in France last year increased by 2.2% to 25,071 (24,538 in 2021). John Deere remains the best-selling brand with a 25.1% share of the total market (23.4% in 2021).

Second and third spots were secured by New Holland (13.4%) and Fendt (12.9%), followed by Claas and Massey Ferguson (each 10.7%). In fifth position was Case IH (8.3%), followed by Valtra (7.6%), Deutz-Fahr (4.3%), Kubota (4.2%) and McCormick (0.9%).

The largest increase in registrations were tractors from 150hp to 200hp (+15.95%) and 200hp to 300hp (+16.5%). Registrations above 300hp increased by 3.6% to 830 units, while the numbers of sub-100hp tractors fell by 26.2% from 2,572 in 2021 to 1,899 last year. The numbers of 100 to 150hp tractors dropped by 5.5%, but this segment remains to most popular in France (9,750 units in 2022).
