John Deere is extending a special offer for farmers and contractors to upgrade their current StartFIre ITC receivers for the latest SF6000 unit.
Deere introduced its first ITC receiver in 2004 but from January 2021 these units will no longer be able to receive the SF1 and SF2 correction signals. The units will still be able to work with an RTK signal for auto-steer. Applications such as section control, documentation and parallel tracking will still be possible using older 1800 and 2630 GreenStar displays.
The newer SF6000 is able to work with SF1, SF2 and more accurate SF3 signals and offers faster signal pick up as well as wireless software updates and a PIN code anti-theft lock. Deere’s fourth generation of receiver also comes with ISObus compatible displays, the Gen 4 4240 and 4640.
