German wheeled loader and telehandler manufacturer Thaler has been bought by International Tractors Ltd (ITL). The new Indian owner says it is business and there will be no changes at Thaler.
Founded in 1997 by Johann Thaler and his son Manfred, and based in Polling (Bavaria), Thaler manufacturers machines from 19-75hp and has a turnover in excess of US$20m.
Part of the Sonalika Group, ITL claims to be India’s third largest tractor manufacturer. It also reckons to be the largest exporter of tractors (branded as Solis) from India to Europe.
“Wheel loaders are an advantage in our portfolio and have enormous potential for the EU and US markets in the agricultural, dairy and construction sectors,” comments Deepak Mittal, managing director of ITL.
