Pöttinger’s 2014/2015 turnover of €320.3 is the fifth successive year of increase and the highest level ever in the company’s nearly 145-year history. Volumes of grassland machines grew by 2% during 2014/2015 and account for the lion’s share of turnover (61%), followed by tillage at around 25%. With a 14% share of overall turnover, the domestic market remains one of the strongest country markets. However, exports are part of the key to success in a generally difficult market situation, and during the last financial year the family-owned Austrian company exported around 86% of production, with international sales accounting for €276 million. Almost two-thirds of agricultural machine sales were in six countries: Germany, Austria, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Poland, while the top five countries for growth when compared to the previous year were Poland, France, Switzerland, Australia and the US.
