Large farm and contractor requests for a faster and more powerful stone picker are behind the launch of the 7.0m-wide Kivi-Pekka from Finnish company Pel-Tuote.
Claimed as the widest and most powerful version, the tines on the company’s new flagship model collect stones across the entire 7.0m width. Capable of handling diameters of up to 50cm, the wider lifting drum has 33 tines and the maximum capacity is 1.4t/min.
Hopper capacity is 3m³, and the standard discharge height of 2.9m provides plenty of headroom to unload the stones into a trailer. Customers can choose from two bogie wheel tyre sizes: 560/60-22.5 or 700/45-22.5.
The new 7.0m model will be on display at SIMA later this month. Kivi-Pekka stone pickers are also available in working widths of 4.0m, 5.0m and 6.0m.
