Well known for its grass verge and ditch maintenance attachments, Dutch manufacturer Herder appears to be developing its first tractor. At least that was our initial thought when we first saw this illustration. It is in fact a concept that when finished will contain an integrated mid-mounted mowing arm.

Called Herder One, and described as a new concept for the mowing  grass verges and ditches, the launch will be the culmination of the company’s 70th anniversary celebrations during the second week of November at its factory in Middelburg (NL).

All the clever technical details remain under wraps, but we can reveal that power will come from a 224hp engine, and a rotating cab and controls will be part of the standard spec. The tyres are all 600/70R30s, and the 4.8m-long x 2.55m-wide vehicle, which is exactly 4m tall on the road, provides both 4wd and 4ws, and the Herder One has turning circle of 9m.
