HE-VA’s 10-spoke cast steel 620mm NG roller ring came out tops in a strength test carried out by Swedish farm machinery magazine NielehnTeknik.
Secured below a guillotine, rings from three different farm machinery manufacturers were pounded by a heavy block dropped from two heights of 70 and 90cm.
Resulting in an impact force of 96 and 156t respectively, the Danish firm’s NG was still intact even after being struck by the weight 150 times in the first test, with similar products lasting only seven strikes.
Launched at the start of this year, and standard on all new sets of rolls brought to the UK by Opico, the multi-spoke NG rings are available in three sizes: eight-spoke HD (500 and 510mm), nine-spoke HD Plus (550 and 560mm) and 10-spoke XHD (600 and 620mm). All sizes come with a three year warranty.
