Increasing pressure to outlaw the use of chemicals to destroy potato haulm has prompted AVR to develop a two-row trailed offset harvester with additional separation capabilities. Called the Spirit 7200, 10 machines are in the field this season.

A haulm roller inserted between the sieving web and pintle belt provides additional separation. In addition, a trash web below the haulm web ensures that any remaining haulm is removed.

The fixed 9.6m³ bunker on the ISObus controlled harvester holds 7.0t, and the 7200 is the first two-row version from the Belgian manufacturer that can be equipped with the AVR Connect. This option allows the user to access the machine data online.

Other new features on the 7200, which is a development of the Spirit 6200, include the concealment of all hydraulic piping and electrical cables to the tractor in a frame on the drawbar.

The quick-change digging kit is also new and the 7200 offers several automatic functions, such as level correction, movement of the bunker floor, angle of the pintle belts and row following.

Tyre options include 650/65R30.5 and 850/50R30.5 sizes, and twin 380/80R38 row crop boots, and the picking-off table provides room for six people. Two prototypes were tested last year.
