Rake and bale in one pass is how Abimac is promoting its front-mounted twin rotor rake. Built in Northern Italy there are three models to choose from, the 6510/9 (6.00-6.50m), 6810/11 (6.20-6.80m) and 7810/13 (7.00-7.80m).
The twin rotor rakes fold to 2.50m wide for transport and a leading castor wheel takes some of the machine’s weight. Simon Smith, the Yorkshire based importer adds that it is handier than it looks for manoeuvrability as he uses it in conjunction with a Fastrac, large square baler and accumulator.
Each of the rotors has roll pin protection if they do come into contact with something substantial. Prices range from £16,500 to £20,500.
