Northern Irish firm Biddy has expanded its aerator roller offering with the AR6.0. The outer hydraulic folding drums measure 2.55m, which, when added to the central 1.00m drum, produce an overall working width of 6.00m. The blades are made from 20mm Hardox steel. Needing 200hp plus up front, the roller weighs in at 8t unballasted, but can then be weighted up to 12t. For transport and headland turns it has 750/45-22.5 tyres, with an accumulator built into the lift ram circuit to provide some cushioning on the road. The 10-stud axle has hydraulic brakes as standard. Price-wise the base model with cable-controlled valves is £21,500, while a version with electronic joystick controls is £23,300.
