Racing car type suspension is one of the stand-out features on Kverneland’s new flagship mower conditioner — the 53100MT Vario — which, when teamed with a 3.2m 3632FT front unit, boasts a working width of up to 10.2m. Designated QuattroLink, the suspension system comprises four suspension arms fitted on a fixed carrying arm that give each mower unit 700mm of possible floating movement — 400mm up and 300mm down. There’s hydraulic adjustment of mower unit overlap on the move, and the ground pressure remains the same even when the overlap is altered. Prices are £48,061 for the rear 53100MT butterfly, £14,905 for the front 3632FT, and at Grassland & Muck the outfit was wrapped around a Deutz-Fahr 9340 TTV (336hp max).
