Dutch manufacturer Tobroco-Giant has developed a telescopic boom version of the G2200E electric articulated wheel loader.

Sharing much of its spec with the 2019-launched G2200E, maximum lift height of the new G2200E TELE is 3.4m. The 2.3t machine is powered by two electric motors. The first 7kW version replaces the traditional hydrostatic transmission, powering the axles directly via a drop-box. There are three selectable speed ranges: 0-5km/hr, 0-12km/hr and 18km/hr. The Hill-Hold control feature ensures the machine does not roll backwards when operating on slopes.

The second electric motor (12kW) powers the hydraulic system, delivering a 35l/min capacity at up to 170 bar. The hydraulic system allows for simultaneous operation of lift and telescopic cylinders. The Dutch manufacturer says that this makes it easy to operate multiple functions at the same time without sacrificing power or speed.

An on-board charger is standard, and with the external high-frequency charger, the battery can be charged to 80% in one hour. Standard battery capacity is 260Ah (390Ah or 520Ah optional).

With a tipping load of 1.5t, the new loader can also be fitted with an additional counterweight. Width is a compact 1.08m on the standard 10.0/75×15.3 AS tyres, and the G2200E TELE is available with a foldable ROPS/FOPS roof or a cab. As with its wheel loader counterpart, a wide variety of tyres, hydraulic functions, and lighting options are available.
