Keltec has been offering an auger based grouper as a retrofit item for mounting on mounted mowers for some time. But with other manufacturers not keen on the idea of hanging this extra metal on their machines – in many cases voiding the warranty – Keltec has decided to make its own mower range, something it has been working on for two years.For now there is just the one working width of 3.2m, but it is offered as a straight mower or with a conditioner. The latter is also offered with the option of the auger grouper which carries a price tag of €20,000.The bed is sourced from Galfre with a Bondioli and Pavesi driveline. The bed has a central pivot with a two pot accumulator system for contour following. For transport the unit lifts vertically over centre.This season will see a limited number of machines produced.
