Sky Agriculture enjoyed a leading share of the French trailed drill market of somewhere between 500-600 units last year.
Axema, the trade association of the agricultural equipment industry, estimates Sky Agriculture to have secured a 29.2% share of the French trailed drill market in 2018, slightly ahead of second placed Horsch (26.8%). Between them these two firms accounted for over half of all new trailed drills registered in France last year.
The Axema figures put John Deere in third spot, with fourth to tenth places occupied by Amazone, Maschio, Kuhn, Vaderstad, Pöttinger, Bednar and Lemken, respectively.
Sky Agriculture has headed the French drill market for three of the last four years. The two main drill ranges for the company are the EasyDrill and MaxiDrill, and the most popular working width is 6.0m.
According to Axema, France is the main trailed drill market in Europe, followed by the Ukraine and Germany. There is no information on mounted drill sales in France last year.
